“Samuel skates, swims, runs, rides a bike. Now he got a skateboard, he is able to walk 24 km. He always comes and asks what we are going to do, and I really want to write a will,” admits the father of a five-year-old son, Miroslav Etzler, and in the same breath mentions the great concerns he has for his offspring.
“He likes the sky, the stars, the trees. He asks what their names are. He even knows elm or hornbeam. He’s learning English, but I don’t think there’s anything nice waiting for him in this world,” the fifty-nine-year-old actor fears about Samuel’s future. That’s why he’s trying to make his childhood as nice as possible, the actor even moved away from the busy metropolis with his family.

And how Etzler himself experienced his youth? “It was expensive, because it was a recruitment, a package, a criminal organization, but we had a good childhood. Our internet was a rug knocker that we played with in the yard and it was great. Today, when you walk down the street, you don’t see children playing anywhere. They have phones, iPods, TVs, social networks. I don’t know what they will remember,” laments Miroslav on eXtra.cz.
