Some children of famous Hollywood stars use their names and are proud of the family they come from. Even by the fact that the whole world knows their parents. But this is not the case with the daughters of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes. Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee are definitely not interested in what their parents do for a living and the attention of millions of fans around the world. Sometimes it’s to the point of anger.

“We thought it was going to be big and that it was going to be an experience for them,” Ryan Gosling recently admitted of the bitterness surrounding his wife Eva Mendes’ stint on the children’s cartoon sitcom Bluey. In it, she lent her voice to one of the characters in 2021. But neither Esmeralda Amada nor Amada Lee had any joy from this act of their mother. For all American children, the series Bluey is an absolute hit, even Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee adore it. However, parents Ryan and Eva did not get the desired reaction. “They absolutely did not like it. They even wanted to reshoot the episode so they wouldn’t have to watch it,” said Ryan in one of the interviews. Eva did the yoga instructor voice and thought it was funny. But it wasn’t, certainly not for their daughters.

Ryan can currently be seen in the action comedy Stunt. And even with her, Esmeralda and Amada Lee have a problem. He originally did not want to be represented by any stuntman in the film. He wanted to pay tribute to all actors who try stunts themselves. But the daughters said “No!” They didn’t want their dad to catch fire or shoot other dangerous scenes. “So I didn’t,” laughed Ryan recently. But he was sorry that he would probably never enter stunt heaven. Actress Emily Blunt herself, who stars with Ryan in the aforementioned film, told People magazine: “Kids don’t want you to be anything other than their parent.”

Ryan, on the other hand, told The Wall Street Journal some time ago that he fundamentally avoids roles that would bring him to some “dark place”. “First and foremost, we always make decisions that will not endanger our family in any way,” he explained. In 2022, Eva Mendes also admitted that, for the sake of her family, she decided not to take roles in which she would have to be a victim of sexual violence or shoot erotic scenes, for example. She even stopped playing completely for a while so she could devote herself fully to her daughters. To this day, she has not fully returned to playing. She intends to do this when her daughters are older and can go a few days or weeks without their mother. Ryan Gosling, on the other hand, spins like a freak. After the biographical drama The First Man, the action film The Gray Man and the blockbuster Barbie, in which he played Ken, it was the turn of the Stuntman. Now he is concentrating on the sci-fi film Project Hail Mary, in which he will once again play the lead role. It will appear in cinemas in 2026.
