Butky Park kicks off the season. It brings a street festival full of fun and food, dance and parkour workshops and a concert by Eddie Stoilow – Cysnews

Mark the butky event of the year in your calendar: on Saturday, April 20, 2024, the multi-functional Butky Park opens its season and children and their parents will have a great time. The rich program will be punctuated by a street festival with food, dance and parkour workshops will offer inspiration, and a concert by the band Eddie Stoilow will get your body dancing. “The Day You Grow Wings”

Opening entitled “The day you grow wings” will offer a program on Saturday afternoon, April 20, 2024, and under the baton of Petr Říbal, the popular presenter of Europe 2, will combine music, dance, food and design in street style. What can visitors look forward to?

• Pavlo Berka’s street food cooking show, who was in the semi-finals of the Masterchef cooking competition in 2020. His specialty is burgers in all possible ways, including non-traditional flavors and ingredients.
• Food trucks with a wide range of refreshments from different corners of the world.
• Doctor Dancer Workshops focused on teaching street dance. Short, simple, yet attractive sets will teach children and their parents. As part of the program, which ends with a joint performance, they will introduce the new Olympic sport of break dancing.
• Parkour workshops they will be a great opportunity for everyone who wants to try and learn the basics of a unique and fascinating discipline combining the elegance of movement with acrobatics.

A whole range of other accompanying activities will be available, including fun competitions, the little ones will enjoy face painting or a magician who can create all kinds of animals from balloons.

“We couldn’t wait for Butky Park to wake up from hibernation and welcome visitors again. Last year, we listened carefully to their suggestions and comments and worked on further improving the park’s offer,” says Petr Jágr, asset manager of the real estate fund INVESTIKA, which owns the Galerie Butovice shopping center. “We are preparing a number of interesting events for the whole season, and I am sure that Butky Park will remain a favorite and popular place to spend free time for many Prague citizens.”

Butky Park, which first opened its doors last spring, brings fun for parents with children and adults without them. The dominant feature of the multifunctional area is a unique children’s playground with a bird theme by famous Danish architects. On the area of ​​three soccer fields, Butky Park offers, in addition to a large amount of greenery or a fog area, an event concert zone, a field for ball or other team sports, and also a pétanque area. There is also a barbecue zone with the possibility of renting barbecue sets with a stand of a well-known local butcher, kiosks with refreshments and, of course, sanitary facilities.

The current Butky Park program is always available at www.butkypark.cz. From April 1, 2024, the area can be accessed free of charge every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and its visitors can also use all the facilities of the adjacent Butovice Gallery, including convenient parking.
