The semester has met with the semester and already next week, on April 8, 2024 to be precise, the 23rd International Teaching Week (ITW), already a notorious event, during which students and employees of FTK have a unique opportunity to experience “internationalization at home” begins at the UP Faculty of Physical Culture .

During the spring ITW, 9 foreign teachers will visit our faculty, from whom you can listen to various lectures and go to engaging workshops. Guests will come from all over the world: Canada, Israel, Great Britain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal and the Netherlands, plus a Tibetan folk dance expert who is from the Tibetan minority in China and currently joins the ITW teaching group he is completing his doctorate at the Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology, UP.

You can look forward to topics from the field of sports psychology (well-being during sports performance, the question of SMART goals, a healthy and effective approach to exercise), strength and conditioning exercises for seniors, outdoor education, sustainable tourism and the development of urbanism, and exercises from the perspective of biomechanics. Last but not least, we are also preparing practical lessons related to basketball and dance, and the aforementioned Tibetan folk dance workshops will also be a bonus part of this week.

Don’t miss the opportunity to visit at least a few of the 24 upcoming lectures and workshops during this week full of internationalization on home soil. Above all, we warmly recommend a visit to those who are going to go abroad, or to students who are only thinking about the possibility of studying or doing an internship abroad and have not yet dared to apply for Erasmus. This is a unique opportunity where you can try teaching in another language, practice your English communication skills and maybe even talk to teachers from your desired destination. For more information, go to the ITW website, or see the class schedule and list of topics below.
