The frosty nights will not stop until the end of the week, warn meteorologists. It will only warm up at the weekend

Temperatures in the Czech Republic will drop to zero again. It can be freezing, especially at night and in the morning. On the night of Thursday, there will be ground frosts especially in the southern half of Bohemia and in the north of the republic. On the night of Friday, there is a threat of frost, not only on the ground, but across the entire territory. According to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, frost can mainly damage fruit trees, vines and sprouted vegetables.

Meteorologists have already announced that the cold weather, which is in its second week in the Czech Republic, will continue until the end of the working week. On Wednesday, they expect heavy precipitation in the eastern half and low temperatures, especially in the northeast, according to them, it will not exceed seven degrees Celsius.

In some areas, it can temporarily and intensively snow. Specifically, in Šumava, Jeseníky and Beskydy, up to ten centimeters of snow is predicted to fall in some places.

On Thursday night, according to meteorologists, temperatures two meters above the ground will drop below zero in some places and ground frosts will be even more numerous. This notice applies in particular to the Karlovy Vary, Pilsen and South Bohemian regions, Vysočina, Olomouc region and the north of the Pardubice, Hradec Králové and Liberec regions.

“On Friday night, the risk of frost will spread to the entire area,” meteorologists added.

They say it will warm up over the weekend. On Saturday, daytime temperatures will reach 20 degrees, and on Sunday they can occasionally even reach a summer-like 25 degrees.
