The new paint booth is a two-story building located between the existing test track and the tram repair building, opposite the high-capacity decommissioned track yard. Its length is 131.2 meters, width 8.14 meters and height 12.8 meters.

On the ground floor, there are three painting booths, each 40 meters long, which are separated from each other by technological rooms used to control the modes of the individual booths, to shut down the shifting devices or to wash the spray guns.

Since it is a pass-through three-stage painting box, each of its cabins is designed for a specific type of activity and equipped with the appropriate technologies accordingly.

In the first cabin (first stage) the rough preparation of the vehicles for painting and spraying their lower parts will take place, therefore it is equipped with pneumatic tram jacks.

In the second cabin (second level) will be followed by preparation for painting, i.e. sanding, sealing and drying.

Then the tram moves to the last cabin (third degree), where DPP technicians perform their own painting and drying on the vehicle, which takes place at a temperature of up to 60 °C. The second and third cabins are equipped with assembly platforms.
