The first year of the Prague Pre-Summer Fest attracts well-known student bands

The open-air festival season is approaching. And those who can’t wait can properly prepare for the arrival of summer and get in the mood at the first ever Pre-Summer Fest. Well-known student bands will perform at the festival, playing across genres. Pre-Summer Fest 2024 will offer great music, a large stage, a bar, a pleasant environment and a free welcome drink for the first hundred arrivals. All fans can look forward to this relaxed event on June 14 from 5 p.m. in Gauč at the Prague Exhibition Center. Among the bands you’ll get a chance to hear in the first year will be Propadleek, The Interlude, Timer and Malone. The Interlude is an all girl group. Originally it was a guitar trio playing covers of their favourites, especially rock artists. He now has three popular singles and one EP released on all streaming platforms. The ladies compose their texts not only in English, but also in Czech and Italian. Proper pop-folk and pop-rock will be performed by the Prague band Propadleek, which is original mainly thanks to its lyrics written by frontman Ondřej Kobrle, backing vocals by Petr Polívka and violin lines by Viktoria Machytková. They already have three EPs and five singles to their credit. Every fan will be excited by the alternative pop-rock band Časovač, whose genres straddle the border of alt-pop, pop and rock. In 2023, she drew attention to herself with her first single, and a few weeks later, she placed second in the national University Band Contest. And last but not least, everyone can look forward to the young five-member band Malone from Hradec Králové, singing mainly pop. Their single “Lollipop” was placed at the top of the Óčko chart four times. Couch at the Exhibition Center is easily accessible by public transport and is prepared for any adverse weather – it has a covered parquet. And if someone doesn’t feel like dancing, they can enjoy food from the Kolkovna restaurant. It will be open to all visitors from 4:30 p.m.
