Richard Šiffer, a self-proclaimed Kutnohorsk healer, had 133,924,049 crowns left in his account, according to documents to which iRozhlas has access. The fact is now being investigated by the Central Bohemian Economic Criminal Division due to the suspicion of committing the crime of unauthorized business.

“As part of the criminal proceedings, funds in the order of several tens of millions of crowns were secured these days,” the server quotes Central Bohemian Police spokesperson Vlasta Suchánková as saying.

Accused of Šiffer’s murder are his two former followers, dentist Magdalena Š. and retired teacher Irena S., who confessed to the crime. However, they were supposed to act at the healer’s request. The public prosecutor proposed a prison sentence of 12 to 16 years for the accused.

The two defendants should also have had a significant share in the amount that the Kutnohorsk guru managed to accumulate over the years. All along, the healer collected 500 kroner per session from his clients, according to some of them, up to 400 people could visit Šiffer’s apartment a week, writes iRozhlas.

Large financial sums then flowed from the members of the sect themselves, who were supposed to redeem themselves from their sins, or Šiffer promised them a better interest rate or demanded commissions for the sale of real estate. Two defendants also donated large sums of money to the healer, so the police had previously ruled out a financial motive for the murder.
