The end of April brings pleasant sunny weather. Temperatures should rise even more in the coming days. According to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), almost summer values ​​will last even on the first of May. But then clouds will come and with it showers and thunderstorms. However, the weather in the Czech Republic can be affected by Saharan dust, which would bring higher cloud cover and lower temperatures, but meteorological models do not count on it.

IN sunday it will be clear to partly cloudy, temporarily to cloudy during the day. “Fog or low cloudiness can occasionally form, more likely in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands,” added meteorologist Michaela Valachová to CNN Prima NEWS, adding that they should dissolve during the morning. It will be warmer during the day compared to Saturday. Thermometers measure 19 to 23 °C. However, Valachová pointed out that the wind will pick up during Sunday. “In Moravia and Silesia, we expect gusts of around 50 km/h in places,” added the meteorologist.

But the weather in the Czech Republic can again be affected by Saharan dust. It will create clouds that the meteorological models did not expect, he writes on social networks Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. Expected temperatures may then be lower than forecast. The particles responsible for this originally reach us from the southwest to the northwest regions of the Sahara.

Meteorologists point out that this time they are in high and medium clouds, which are significantly more extensive and powerful than numerical models estimated. They also indicate a specific case – ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ Plzeň. It should have been clear there, but it wasn’t.

The cloud is formed during storms over the Sahara, during which a large amount of sand gets into the air. Thanks to the wind, it can then reach Europe or neighboring African states.

How should the week be?

The pleasant spring weather will last even after the weekend. During Monday expect clear to partly cloudy. Overnight it will be 13 to 9 °C, in the southwestern half of Bohemia up to 7 °C. “It’s because there is only a weak wind,” meteorologist Iveta Kodádková explained to CNN Prima NEWS. Temperatures reach up to 25 °C during the day.

Meteorologists also promise favorable conditions for the burning of witches in Tuesday. Skies will be partly clear to clear. The lowest temperatures at night will fall below 10 °C only in the west to 8 °C, elsewhere they will range between 14 and 10 °C. It will get even warmer during the day compared to Monday. The highest daily temperatures can reach up to 27 °C.

Even May will start with summer temperatures. In Wednesday on the first of May, thermometers should measure temperatures of 21 to 25 °C. It will be mostly partly cloudy during the day. The lowest night temperatures will oscillate between 14 and 10 °C.

According to the ČHMÚ, daily temperatures above 20 °C will be maintained until the end of the week. In Thursday reach values ​​from 20 to 24 °C. At night, they will drop to a minimum of 9 °C. During the day, it will be mostly cloudy, but showers or thunderstorms could appear in places, especially in the southern half of the territory. “We will be affected by the low pressure, which will advance from the south through the Alps,” specified Kodádková.

The clouds in the sky will mostly remain until the end of the week. They will bring showers or thunderstorms in places. Compared to the previous days, it should cool down slightly at the end of the week, but temperatures will still exceed 22 °C somewhere. The lowest night temperatures will be between 12 and 7 °C.
