The 34th celebration of the fall of totality awaits us this year. A number of cultural and civic-educational activities are planned for November 17. The majority is in charge of the organization Thanks, that I can, which also organizes Korzo Národní every year. The novelty this year will be the March for Democracy, which will start in a different way than Albertov and its destination will be Wenceslas Square, where the Concert for the Future will follow.

It will take place in Prague on November 17 March for Democracy, which is intended for everyone who, according to the organizers, wants to unite society and strengthen democracy in the Czech Republic. The march starts at 3 p.m. on Albertov and will end on Wenceslas Square, where participants will join the Concert for the Future.

Jiří Holub suffered a stroke at the age of 41 and his life turned upside down.

“Our goal is to support the democratic establishment of the Czech Republic and its firm inclusion in the European Union. In no way is this march an endorsement of the government or any political party. We are concerned with uniting a divided society, returning national symbols to all citizens of the republic. We do not fight and do not define ourselves against any citizens and their opinions. However, we are fighting against misinformation, lies and manipulation spread by Russia’s fifth column,” declare the organizers, headed by the mayor of Tetín Matěj Hlavatý (STAN).
