On the night of Thursday, there will be ground frosts especially in the southern half of Bohemia and in the north of the republic. This notice applies in particular to the Karlovy Vary, Pilsen and South Bohemian regions, Vysočina, Olomouc region and the north of the Pardubice, Hradec Králové and Liberec regions. “Friday night, the risk of frost will spread across the country,” meteorologists added.
From Friday to Saturday, ground frosts may still occur in the south-west and west of Bohemia, it will be warmer in other regions. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) informed about it today on the website and Facebook. According to him, frost can mainly damage fruit trees, vines and sprouted vegetables.
Meteorologists have already announced that the cold weather, which is in the second week in the Czech Republic, will continue until the end of the working week. Today, they are expecting heavy precipitation in the eastern half, associated with low temperatures, especially in the northeast, according to them, it will not exceed seven degrees Celsius. In some areas of the Czech Republic, it may temporarily and intensively snow. Specifically, in Šumava, Jeseníky and Beskydy, up to ten centimeters of snow is predicted to fall in some places today.
According to meteorologists, it will warm up over the weekend. On Saturday, daytime temperatures will reach 20 degrees Celsius, and on Sunday they can occasionally reach a summery 25 degrees Celsius.
