“The State Attorney of the District Prosecutor’s Office in České Budějovice has filed an indictment with the District Court in České Budějovice against a person accused of committing the crime of abuse of a trusted person,” District Attorney Ivo Dvořák confirmed to Novinkám.
He did not specify exactly the behavior of the woman towards the children. He mentioned that the actions of this person are the subject of criminal proceedings. “It was supposed to consist of inadmissible practices in punishing minor children, preventing their mutual contact for a limited period of time and in other similar actions incompatible with the care of minor children and their education,” stated the district attorney.
Cold shower and solitary confinement
As Novinky found out, according to the results of the investigation, the woman beat some of the children, gave them cold showers for even ten minutes, and allegedly neglected the hygiene and diet of some of them. She dealt with crying or anger in very young children by separating them from the group and locking them in the corridor. She even cut one boy’s hair.

The woman treated the children rudely and insensitively, which allegedly affected their behavior, the investigators found. According to information from Novinek, parents gradually began to notice the children’s strange behavior, and her wards were very afraid of the teacher in question. For example, one of the children was extremely frightened when she saw a photo of her on her parents’ computer.
The accused should have committed these acts from September 2021 until January of this year. “And towards several minor children,” explained prosecutor Dvořák. According to Novinek, there were at least seven of them.
With regard to the circumstances of the case and the particularly vulnerable victim of the crime, Dvořák did not want to provide any additional information or to comment on the identification of the facility in which the accused’s actions were supposed to take place. The editors know the name of the device, but decided not to publish it for the sake of protecting injured children.
The case was brought to the attention of the law enforcement authorities by the parents, but the woman’s colleague from the kindergarten is also among the witnesses. Currently, the woman who had a business license for caring for children under the age of three does not do business in the field. According to Novinek’s findings, she comes from Český Krumlov, she refused to give a statement to the police.
As confirmed by the spokeswoman of the District Court in České Budějovice, the main trial in the case of abuse of a trusted person is scheduled for May and the hearing will be public.
