• In the Czech Republic, however, it is not yet available on Google Play

The South Korean giant Samsung offers relatively rich customization options on its smartphones within its One UI superstructure. Nevertheless, for some more inquisitive and demanding customers, it has an application in store that allows even wider system modification options, so you can transform your device in your own image. It’s about the Good Lock application, which offers additional customization options for phone and tablet users from the Seoul-based company. Until now, this was only available through the Galaxy Store, but now Samsung has changed its mind and made Good Lock and the One Hand Operation+ module available on the competing Google Play.

For now, Samsung is labeling Good Lock as “early access,” indicating that it’s currently testing the app for potential bugs. Since this is an established app, Samsung is probably just covering its back should any unexpected problems arise. The arrival of Good Lock on Google Play gives users another choice if for some reason they don’t want to use the app store directly from Samsung.

Good Lock is a group of applications officially supported by Samsung. They can be used to change the design and behavior of several UI elements and sections inside One UI. The application itself works as a base, while other extended functions are acquired through the installation of various modules. For example, depending on which Good Lock module you use, you can change your home screen, keyboard, lock screen, notifications and much more. It is a relatively sophisticated tool that will be appreciated especially by more advanced users.

Although it may seem that the arrival of Good Lock on Google Play is good news, for the Czech user it has one rather important catch. For now, Good Lock is not available in the Google app store, not even in early access, although the One Hand Operation+ module can be searched for. Fortunately, the app can be downloaded right from the Galaxy Store, so if you don’t mind using the app store directly from Samsung, you might have to wait a while.
