According to the media, he wants to discuss with him, among other things, trade issues and cooperation in various areas, as well as international crises, including the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East, and global problems, especially the climate crisis.
A tripartite meeting between Macron, Si and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is also planned for Monday in Paris. They should talk especially about the possibilities of ending the war in Ukraine.
Beijing repeatedly calls for a diplomatic solution to this conflict, but at the same time refuses to condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine and continues to maintain friendly relations with Moscow. Western countries are asking China to put pressure on Russia regarding the war in Ukraine.
According to the Elysee Palace, Xi Jinping will also visit the southern French department of Hautes-Pyrénées.
