“Slovakia is aware of the complexity of the situation, but despite this, it is against the creation of a new desired curtain, and such a position is also confirmed by those European countries that send their diplomatic representatives to the inauguration,” the TASR agency quoted the press department of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying.
The representative of the Czech ambassador in Moscow will not attend Putin’s inauguration. Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský (Pirates) said on Nova TV that the government recalled the current ambassador to Russia, Vítězslav Pivoňka, at the end of May, and his representative will not attend the inauguration either.
“I do not think that the current relations between the Czech Republic and Russia correspond to our current charges d’affairs participating in such a ceremony on behalf of the Czech Republic,” said Lipavský.
