Seven people died and another 40 were injured in a drone attack in Russia’s Belgorod region. According to the agencies, the authorities in the region, which lies near the border with Ukraine, refined the data.

“At this moment, we have information about seven deceased employees of pig farms in Grajvoron and Borisovka,” Agro-Belogorje said, as quoted by TASS. Alexei Kuznetsov, an associate of the Russian Ministry of Health, said that 30 people ended up in the hospital and ten others were treated on an outpatient basis by paramedics. Three children are among the injured.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, wrote on his Telegram account that the attack happened near the village of Beryozovka, which is located near the border with Ukraine. He added that information about this incident is being clarified.

Russia’s border regions are facing shelling and drone attacks attributed to Ukraine by Russian authorities in connection with Russia’s invasion of a neighboring country. Kyiv does not comment on them.

Ukraine has been resisting a Russian military invasion for more than two years. On the night of today, Russia, with the deployment of attack drones, hit the energy infrastructure in the Sumy region in the north of Ukraine, the regional administration said.
