Clifford, better known by her pseudonym Stormy Daniels, claims she had sex with Trump in 2006, about a year and a half after the New York businessman married Melania Knavs. In October 2016, Trump’s lawyer at the time, Michael Cohen, paid Clifford $130,000 to keep the “hot” story out of the public during the height of the election campaign. The payment is a key point in the indictment against the former head of state, who prosecutors say falsified financial records in an attempt to conceal the transaction.
In the first part of her testimony, Clifford said, according to the AP agency, that Trump invited her to his hotel suite in the summer of 2006 after they met at a golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, California, where her film studio was one of the sponsors. At the same time, the prosecution showed the jurors a photo from the event, in which the couple is captured together, as well as the contact of Trump’s bodyguard, which Clifford saved on her phone at the time.
Daniels then described how the conversation turned into a “brief sexual encounter” and how it ended.

According to the AP, Clifford described the meeting in great detail and talked about Trump’s clothes, the furnishings of the apartment and the topics of their evening conversation.
