The footage allegedly shows explosives being transported by a truck that drove into a bridge connecting the annexed peninsula of Crimea with Russian territory on Saturday morning and caused an explosion. However, the authenticity of the photo or its source cannot be independently verified.

The x-ray does not show the spare tire, which is clearly visible in the inspection photo and video. Likewise, one of the truck’s axles is not visible.

“The FSB epically botched the X-ray of the truck and the video of its inspection,” wrote the Tpyxa server on Twitter. “The metal rod of the truck on the chassis is also missing in the middle of the picture,” readers point out in the comments. “But nobody asks anything in Russia,” one of the accounts replies ironically.

FSB epically screwed up with the x-ray of the truck and the video of its inspection.

Attention to the pictures: there is no spare wheel on the x-ray, which can be seen on the footage from video surveillance. In addition, one axle in front of the truck magically disappeared. https://t.co/qxJDwL51Jh

The image was released by Russia’s Federal Security Service as part of an investigation that led to the arrest of eight people on Wednesday. Among them are five Russians, three citizens of Ukraine and Armenia. Russia claims that Ukrainian military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov is behind the plan, which Ukrainian Interior Minister spokesman Andriy Yusov dismisses as “nonsense”.

An explosion on the Kerch Bridge on Saturday caused the collapse of part of the roadway and a fire in tanks on the railway part of the structure. According to Russian media, four victims were killed in the attack. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the explosion a “terrorist attack”.
