The 24-year-old Ersson will go to his second World Cup. In 2021 in Riga, however, he did not get into the goal area in competition with Viktor Fasth and Adam Reideborn. He made his NHL debut last season and got the chance to play in 12 games. In this year, he caught 51 games with an average of 2.82 goals conceded and a hit rate of 89 percent. He kept four clean sheets.

Two years younger, Raymond played for the first time in the world championship last year in Tampere and Riga. He has the best season in the NHL with 72 points for 31 goals and 41 assists in 82 games. In three seasons with the Red Wings, the fourth pick of the 2020 draft collected a total of 174 points on 71 goals and 103 assists.

The 24-year-old Lundeström met Ersson in the team three years ago in Riga. This season, he scored 11 points with five goals and six assists in 46 games for the Ducks. In six seasons in the NHL, he played 258 games and recorded 69 points for 31 goals and 38 assists.

Zetterlund, who is the same age as Raymond, experienced his first major international event last year. In this year, in 82 duels for San Jose, he collected 44 points for 24 hits and 20 assists. He also played for New Jersey in the best league in the world and has a balance of 75 points for 33 goals and 42 assists in 163 games.

Five players will strengthen the Swedish team from Minnesota: forwards Joel Eriksson and Marcus Johansson, defender Jonas Brodin and goalkeeper Filip Gustavsson. Another goaltender, Jesper Wallstedt, got a chance in the Wild’s goal in three games and mostly caught on the farm in Iowa in the AHL. From Pittsburgh, the Swedes were strengthened by Erik Karlsson and Marcus Pettersson, from Buffalo fullback Rasmus Dahlin and forward Victor Olofsson, and from Seattle another forward André Burakovsky.
