Teplice – Liberec 2:0, Teplice footballers started the semifinals of the group for Europe with a win over Liberec

--

Revenge under Ještěd is scheduled for a week. In the final, the winner will face the one advancing from the double match Hradec Králové–Olomouc, the opening match in eastern Bohemia ended 3:1. The best team in the group for Europe awaits a fight with the fifth overall in the group for the title, in which they will play for participation in the qualification of the European Conference League.

The match was played from the very beginning at a decent pace and in an excellent atmosphere, it only lacked goal chances. The only shot between the three posts was scored by Ghali from Liberec in the fourth minute, but goalkeeper Ludha had no problems with his weak attempt.

After the change of sides, almost five thousand spectators saw more scoring opportunities. In the 49th minute, Tupta stretched out of step and hit the post of Ludha’s goal with a long shot from outside the box. Immediately, the best scorer of the home team Fila could strike on the other side, whose fierce header was pulled out for a corner by Bačkovský.

The striker of the under-21 national team scored his jubilee goal in the league season in the 56th minute. After a nice combination in the center of the field, he guided the ball to the left and fired the ball under the crossbar from 25 meters. The guest from Slavia also made the top management of Prague happy, including the chairman of the board Jaroslav Tvrdík and coach Jindřich Trpišovský, who were present in the Teplice Stínadel stands today. Fila followed up on the goals from both previous matches in this league season.

Kulenovič had a lightning answer on the boot, but Trubač deprived him of an almost certain goal with a self-sacrificing slide. In another great chance, Tupta missed the ball cleanly and his Slovakian compatriot Ludha hid a bouncing shot in his gloves.

Filip Havelka from Teplice is happy about the goal against Liberec.

In the 72nd minute, Liberec’s top scorer Kulenovič came close to equalizing again, as he was unable to direct a cross shot into the net in front of an empty goal. In addition, he was unable to avoid the pole and had to be replaced after a hard impact. Liberec still increased the pressure and in the 85th minute, Chaluš finished twice from a small goal, but Ludha scored two excellent saves.

In the second minute of regulation, a penalty came after another exhibition hit. The former player of Liberec Havelka curled the ball from the corner of the box to the far post six minutes after arriving on the field and scored the fourth goal of the league season.

Teplice won at home in the league after three matches, while at the same time they lost only one of the last 10 matches there. Slovan, on the other hand, confirmed that he is not doing well away from home in the current league season, he scored full points in 16 duels on opponent’s pitches only at the end of March in Pilsen.
