A car ended up on the property near the fire station in Blovice on Thursday before noon after its driver drove off the road and drove through two fences.

“The driver was driving in Blovice along Tyršova Street towards Tržní Street and for reasons not yet determined, drove in the opposite direction, where he broke through the fence from the local fire station, crossed the area and crashed into another fence, damaging a caravan parked behind it,” described police spokeswoman Eva Červenková.
The driver, born in 1948, and his female passenger, who was two years younger, were taken into custody by the emergency services. “The traffic accident probably occurred due to the health indisposition of the driver, who was transported without visible injuries to the Rokycan Hospital for observation,” said Mária Svobodová, the spokeswoman for the rescue service. The passenger, who suffered minor injuries, also ended up in the hospital.

“A breath test on the driver ruled out the consumption of alcohol before driving. The exact cause is being dealt with by police officers from the Pilsen-rural department,” added Červenková.
