We have been publishing the survey for several years and it is a service for agencies and contractors to find out about the level of hourly rates for individual job positions, to Kateina Hrubeov, executive editor of the Association of Communication Agencies (AKA). According to him, hourly rates rose by 5.88 percent last year, which represents a slowdown in the growth rate, the year before they rose by 7.3 percent. At the same time, the growth did not cover more than ten percent annual inflation.

One of the reasons for the increase in rates is understandably continued inflation. Another important reason is the strong qualification of female workers in the field, especially in the field of new technologies, says Lucie epivov, member of the AKA presidium.

Even though hourly rates in the tens of thousands of crowns may seem high, the editors contacted the agency to confirm that they correspond to reality.

If we were to think about something like the average or driving a nice median, the watches mentioned in the survey are a bit different, because they were shy of the other agencies, but realistically, thinks Zdenk Fekar, CEO of the e.vox agency, who did not shy away from the survey. The rate is not salary

According to the experts, it is not possible to have two meatballs for the above mentioned reasons. The invoiced time is probably equal to 50 to 70 percent of the full working time, which explains the apparently high hourly rate. These are influenced by various factors, such as costs, experience, specialization, demand and profit, explains Pavel Kapar, CEO and founder of the Kapar PR agency.

This is not about the remuneration for the employee in this position. This is the hourly rate that the agency charges the client for work in the given period of the order. It’s not about salaries! Salaries are of course another. The rates include the agency’s costs per hour of work for the client, added Kateina Hrubeov.

The agency must include more than just his salary within the hours of his employee’s remuneration. The employer must also invest in his workplace, the technology he will train, software, salary or benefits and, of course, create room for the company to grow. Therefore, it is definitely not possible to interview an agency hourly for a salary, to Frantiek Bro, partner of PR agency FYI Prague, who is not an AKA member.

Another way of reward

At first glance, this is a high rate, but it may not be about an employee who works for the agency for a full 160 hours per month. The graphic designer will get you an order for two hours, and otherwise he did nothing for the client that week. The employee takes his marker, even when he has done nothing. It’s just another way of reward, price. But it’s far from unusual for nen, today the plumber also sets an hourly rate for me, explains Fekar.

From the point of view of the world market, it is even cheaper to produce your work. No matter how high the stakes may seem, the salary, even compared to Western Europe, is still relatively cheap to sell your great skills in marketing and creative communication or PR. For the same services, for example, you would pay a lot more in Germany, think Frantiek Bro.

In the case of independent consultants, the hourly rates are even higher. pikov’s consultant wants an hourly fee in the tens or tens of crowns.
