We have to act like killers in the limelight, urges Kissiedou from Pardubice

“I’m trying to enjoy it, I’m playing well here. Especially in the CFIG Arena, it’s a special feeling for any footballer when he can play in front of his own fans,” praised the Ivorian native on the club’s website.

Unfortunately, this will not be fulfilled the following weekend, as Pardubice will play against Bohemka in Ďolíček on Sunday at 3 p.m. Even if it is still a bit of a home stadium, because the East Bohemians played there for two and a half years while waiting for the construction of their own stand.

“We are fully concentrating on the next match. We will be 100% ready and in a good mood to bring three points to Pardubice,” Kissiedou planned.

In the last game of the regular season, such a win would be good for Pardubice in thirteenth place in the table (26 points). Especially after their last home duel with Mlada Boleslaví, which they lost 1:2, did not work out.

“It was an unlucky match for us. We could have reached at least a point, we deserved a draw, but it didn’t work out. We didn’t do well in the penalty area, we have to act like killers there, pushing the ball into the goal,” urged Kissiedou.

The 25-year-old midfielder played the final half hour in the mentioned duel, but otherwise he regularly starts in the starting line-up. In this season, he already accumulated 496 minutes.

“The Czech league has something for everything, there are a lot of excellent players playing here. At the same time, the matches are also about duels and emphasis. It’s a battle every time, the fans have to enjoy it,” Kissiedou mused.

However, those from Pardubice would like their team to win more and finally move into the middle group. “Even as a football player you should always want to win. In certain things, results that are not ideal affect us a bit, but we understand that this is part of the sport. Regardless, we are fully focused on everything that awaits us this season,” Kissiedou was looking forward to.

The extension part will start next week.
