Tragic accident at Sezemice! The BMW driver flew into the field and crushed the car, he did not survive

A tragic accident closed the I/36 road near Sezemic in Pardubice on Sunday morning. There, the BMW driver drove off the road into a field and heavily damaged the car. He suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot.

The accident happened on Sunday around half past four in the morning on Route 36 between Pardubice and Sezemice, not far from the intersection with the road that leads to the village of Černá za Bory. The BMW driver was probably unable to negotiate the slight bend there and the car flew off the road.

Accident at Sezemice: The helicopter was returning empty

“There was one vehicle off the road at the scene,” confirmed the spokeswoman of the HZS of the Pardubice region, Petra Musilová. The driver was already outside the vehicle and the rescuers were fighting for his life, as he had suffered very serious injuries.

“The helicopter of the Air Rescue Service was also called to the scene. Despite all his efforts, he came back empty handed. The driver of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries on the spot.” added Musilová.

The I/36 road was closed for several hours due to the rescue and the subsequent investigation into the causes of the accident, the closure was still required on Saturday morning to recover the wreck from the field.
