Disputes between famous influencers are almost always highly watched, often controversial and spicy. Many such conflicts persist for a long time and do not just end there. The current drama, which arose from a relatively banal event, is interesting in several ways. Initially, the whole conflict was started by a YouTuber known as Pstruh, who made a video about YouTuber and streamer Martin “MGFitman” Gabko. Although it started with him, he was no longer involved in the continuing dispute. Only another YouTuber, Petr Kraus, known as PeeetaaaTV, provoked Gabko mainly with an eye-catching caption for his video.

“The Fakest Influencer,” was the title of Krause’s first video in which he responded to Pstruh’s video. Since Kraus’ work falls into the so-called reaction channels, he did not show anything special in the new video. Even so, while watching, he made a few comments to Gabko, which, as it soon became clear, the YouTubers focusing mainly on gaming and reactionary content did not like very much. At first, as he himself admitted, he didn’t even look at Kraus’ reaction and immediately responded in the comments.

“I won’t look, but thanks. I guess it’s interesting now that I deserve attention from the dead YouTuber PeeetaaaTV. When you do as much for people as I do, we’ll have fun. I hope it throws you a duck, good guy.” he wrote However, he later realized that he had reacted in an affective manner and deleted the comment. He admitted that it wasn’t right to react like that, especially when he hadn’t even seen the whole video. “I didn’t see the video, I just saw that he filmed me and called me: ‘the fakest YouTuber’ so I just dropped a comment” he explains that he subsequently realized that he had not written it very appropriately. “I thought I was an idiot. I commented on something I didn’t even see.” continues.

So Gabko reacted primarily only on the basis of a catchy headline. This is the term “Clickbait” which is used to gain attention and viewership. These are eye-catching titles that are intended to make the viewer watch the video. Although many viewers consider clickbait to be an ugly and misleading practice on the part of creators, most YouTubers have been using it for a long time. It often happens that the title is not related to the content of the video at all. The title of the aforementioned Kraus video can also be considered slightly misleading. Kraus himself admitted that he needed to add some color to the case in order to gain viewership, which provoked a sharp reaction from Gabko.

Kraus is one of the legends of the Czech YouTuber scene. He started filming on the platform quite a long time ago alongside other well-known creators such as Vladimír “VláďaVideos” Kadlec. However, more than three years ago, he mysteriously disappeared from YouTube and his work died down. Most fans did not understand what happened and why he stopped filming. Simply put, he needed to take a break from creating. He said he found a normal job and lived his non-influencer life. However, at the end of last year, he suddenly returned to the platform. He shot the second video with the aforementioned YouTuber and his good friend Kadlec. “Seeing you two together again gives me a sense of peace,” one fan wrote in the comments below the video.

In the end, the dispute between Krause and Gabko turned into more of a misunderstanding. Both admitted in their videos that they have no conflict together. Both have even apologized to each other and consider their dispute closed. “I thought this was a sensible video. I think this will sort of close it from all sides,” says Kraus at the end of his video.
