Pension changes may not take long, ANO is preparing a revision. Next year’s elections are to decide | Czechia

The package of pension changes, which should come into effect within the next few years, far from only concerns the retirement age, the partial slowdown in the growth of new pensions, demanding professions, but also a number of others.

Including, for example, the remission of pension contributions for working pensioners, the reduction of education fees for new applicants and the like. All these changes, which ideally should work in the Czech legislation in the long term, no matter who wins the elections in the future, the government voted without the support of the opposition.

It does not even have the partial support of the ANO movement, which refused to discuss possible compromise options and announced that if it comes to power after the elections next year, it will subject the current government’s pension changes to a thorough review.
