A paraglider crashed on Prachaticka. He was transported to the hospital by helicopter

PRACHATICKO – A paraglider crashed in Prachaticko at the beginning of this week. Two medical teams went to the scene and an air ambulance helicopter was also called. The man suffered multiple injuries during the fall, with which he was transported to the hospital.

The event should have happened on Monday, April 29, 2024, shortly before four o’clock in the afternoon near Kahova in Prachaticko. As Zuzana Fajtlová, the spokeswoman for the South Bohemian Rescue Service, informed, two medical teams from Prachatice were immediately sent to the scene and the helicopter of the Air Rescue Service was also called.

“When paramedics arrived, the paraglider was fully conscious and communicating. He suffered multiple injuries in the fall. His condition required immobilization of the body with a vacuum mattress and neck collar, puncture of the venous access for the administration of analgesics and drugs to stop bleeding. After his condition was stabilized, the rescuers transferred him to the helicopter, which transported him in a stable condition to the České Budějovice hospital,” described Fajtlová.
