Logan Chambers beat the shift with a one-out single past third base. After a fly out, the half inning ended with Chambers thrown out trying to steal second base.

Peyton Holt tucked a two-out infield RBI single down the third-base line to score Will Edmunson in the second inning.
Edmunson was hit by a pitch with one out, stole second base and went to third on a ground ball.
Arkansas 4, Missouri State 0 — Middle 2nd Inning
Gage Wood has pitched two strong innings thus far. He has retired all six batters he has faced, including former Razorback Dylan Leach to end the top of the second on a ground out.

Wehiwa Aloy’s third grand slam went 406 feet to center field on the first pitch he saw from Brendan Beaver.
Peyton Stovall hit a shift-beating single to left, Peyton Holt singled and Jared Sprague-Lott reached on a bunt single to load the bases for Aloy with no outs.
After a mound visit, Beaver retired the next three hitters. Jayson Jones recorded the final out with a drive to the fence in right field, caught on the warning track.
Arkansas 0, Missouri State 0 — Middle 1st Inning
Gage Wood retired the Bears in order in the top of the first. He had a couple of strikeouts before a fly out to second baseman Peyton Stovall in the grass in right-center field.
Pregame
This might be the warmest day we’ve had for a home game this season. It was in the mid-80s as the teams took the field for batting practice this afternoon.
It will cool down once the sun goes down, but it will probably be in the 70s throughout the contest.
Arkansas is wearing its gold hats tonight as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Night at the ballpark. The Razorbacks have worn those hats twice, against Arkansas State in 2021 and 2022.
On the mound tonight for Arkansas is RHP Gage Wood who will be making his first start of the year. Missouri State will throw LHP Brendan Beaver (8.37 ERA and 1.90 WHIP).
