Since the summer, energy prices have been reduced for 1.7 million customers with contracts for an indefinite period, firstly, gas will be discounted by roughly 17 percent, followed by nine percent in electricity and gas. From May, the company also discounts fixed products. TK was informed about this today by the company EZ Prodej. Another supplier is gradually discounting energy this year, in response to the drop in wholesale energy prices.
The price for gas supply without fixing will therefore drop to 1,479 crowns per megawatt hour (MWh) without VAT for EZ households from 1 July. The price of electricity without fixation is then set by the company at the lowest D02 rate at 3,595 crowns per MWh without VAT from the start of the lease.
“This step allows us the right to purchase a strategy, so that we can quickly reflect the drop in wholesale prices even in the dream prices for our orders in the middle of the year,” said the general editor of EZ Prodej Tom Kadlec. According to him, the price change will be automatic, so customers will not have to pay anything.
This year, EZ sweat is discounting its fixed products. Since May, the price of electricity with a two-year contract has dropped to an average of 3,124 K per MWh without VAT and the price of gas to an average of 1,298 crowns per MWh without VAT. The offers with a contract for those years will also be discounted.
Since the beginning of this year, prices have been gradually reduced by another supplier. For example, the E.ON company has reduced the price of about 150,000 gas tickets since May, between 13 and 21 percent. In addition, the company also discounted its fixed tariffs for new orders. This year, fixed products were discounted by hundreds of crowns, for example, innogy, which soon confirmed that it was ready to go at the right price. In April, the epet company discounted electricity and gas, and since then Prask plynrensk has reduced the price of gas by 6.1 percent. Centropol introduced a new product in the middle of April, which offers new clients a fixed price for one month with a one-month grace period. My tariff is now purchased, for example, by Lama Energy. Some suppliers sell at a discount, among other reasons, because they bought the products ahead of time at high prices.
The decrease in prices is the result of a gradual decrease in the prices of electricity and gas on the energy market, especially since the summer. A megawatt-hour of electricity now costs 87.72 euros (roughly 2,203 crowns) on the stock market, which is about 40 percent higher than expected. In contrast, the price of gas fell by 50 percent to the current 35.5 euros (892 crowns) per MWh. Since the beginning of the year, energy has gradually recovered on the market, but in the last week, prices have again fallen slightly.
