Barrandov: Another curious accident was caused by a female driver who drove into the entrance of a block of flats

Prague’s Barrandov seemed to attract curious accidents. Since the beginning of the year, three cars have ended up in the tram tracks. And just a few days ago, a driver drove into the entrance of a block of flats in Renoirova Street. “By her actions, she committed an offense in the traffic section and was given a block fine,” Prague police spokesman Jan Rybanský told CNN Prima NEWS.

The driver was not under the influence of alcohol and was just trying to park. According to CNN Prima NEWS, she mistook the brake for the accelerator and ended her ride on the stairs leading to the front door.

Michal Bartoš, who lives in the block of flats, described the entire situation to the editors. “I came home from work and my roommate tells me he heard a bang twenty minutes ago. I ignored it and went to walk the dog. I come downstairs and the first thing I see is a car parked at the entrance,” he stated.

Fortunately, the woman escaped without serious injury. However, a crane had to help with the car. “There were a bunch of firefighters there, and it took them about an hour and a half to free him,” added Bartoš.

In the past, another critical place on Prague’s Barrandov was the intersection by the tunnel. In the past few months alone, there have been three incidents there – at the beginning of March, a driver drove into the tram lane, and in February, a car got stuck right in the tram tunnel. And at the turn of the year, a drunk driver also drove to this place.
