Serious accident in Prague. A Porsche drove onto the sidewalk and hit a woman with a stroller

A serious accident happened on Wednesday evening in Prague’s Vysočany. There, the Porsche driver drove onto the sidewalk and hit a woman who was walking with a baby stroller. The woman who was hit suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The Prague rescue service reported on the accident on the X social network. It happened in U Elektry street. The knocked-down woman suffered a serious head injury, after securing her airway and connecting her to artificial lung ventilation, she was taken to the hospital. The small child in the stroller was unharmed. The driver of the passenger car also had unspecified health problems.

Three rescue crews and a doctor went to the scene. Firefighters provided a psychologist who provided assistance. Prague police are investigating the cause of the accident.

The Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ) registered 14,277 traffic accidents in Prague last year. There were almost 1,200 fewer than in the previous year.
