Silent sadness

The only painful thing that he still can’t overcome and can’t even talk about properly is the death of his son Peter. “I focused on his life and there was a lot of pain, including the loss of my son. And that was like the only topic at all, really the only one that Petr put off. I’m not saying he rejected him. He was putting it off. He always told me: Please wait a little longer. Then finally they took us to the cemetery and Petr stood up to everything. There wasn’t anything he didn’t want to shoot,” Spatová revealed. Olga greatly appreciates that he would be so open and do everything for her. The filming was very long and demanding. According to her, Petr Janda is not only very good, but also a kind person. “When the war in Ukraine started, he took twelve Ukrainian women into his home and selflessly cared for them for nine months. He didn’t tell anyone,” the director confided. When his wife and son died, he clung to his daughter Marta. “All that we have experienced keeps a strong bond between us. Interestingly, we don’t talk about it out loud at all. It’s a silent but shared sadnessJanda admitted. This year, on March 23, Petr Janda Jr. would have celebrated his 57th birthday. Marta remembers him every year and always publishes his photo on his birthday. The musician has it a little differently. She carries her son Peter in her heart every day. “I definitely didn’t cope with all that. Not a day goes by that I don’t remember him. That was cruel…and powerful,” he confided in the document with tears in his eyes. He himself was surprised by how his son’s departure took him. He somehow managed his wife’s death, but he did not get over the loss of Peter. “Unfortunately, death is not unusual. I didn’t think I could take it so hard. I felt that I was a strong son of a rocker and that I could handle it better. It did not happen,” he admitted. He regrets that his talent died with Peter. “Peter had a huge musical talent. It is a great pity that he could not develop it fully. An insidious disease interrupted his very promising career. I will never play with him again.” regrets Janda. It’s a pain that never goes away despite his positive nature.

The joy of daughters
In addition, Janda was able to find other joys in life. After the death of his wife Jana, he remarried Martina (54), who is now a well-known presenter. They had a common daughter, Eliška (31), and Marta suddenly had another sibling. “Life can be colorful and completely different situations can be created from traumas or troubles. If my first wife hadn’t died, I might still be with her. And if my son hadn’t died, I would have had two adult children and life would have been a bit gray for me,” Janda thinks and added: “I got married again and had a daughter Eliška, a great girl, smart, educated. And if my second wife hadn’t kicked me out or left me, I wouldn’t have gotten married a third time and I wouldn’t have found Alice, with whom I have two wonderful children. One should not beg fate. Fate may take something from him, but many times it gives him much more. After breaking up with Martina, Janda fell in love with his current wife Alice. And it was she who helped him cope with the death of his son. Although she was young at the time, she was only 19 years old when they started dating, but she was always his support. Their love has endured to this day. They have daughters Anežka (15) and Rozárka (12), thanks to whom the musician became young again. “I am very sad that my son died and I don’t like to talk about it. It’s trauma for life and I’ll probably never get over it. But the three daughters who were born after his death, that’s a joy,” admits Petr Janda.
