After all, the first consequences of the advent of generative AI are already beginning to manifest themselves, both positive and a number of negative ones. Artificial intelligence at the same time plays an increasingly important role in the field of devices themselves – hardware. It has enormous potential among others, the conscious South Korean giant Samsung.
Samsung’s mobile division intends to continue to engage in the expansion and development of Galaxy AI smart tools, as the company itself stated in a press release (pointed out by the Android Authority server). The company also talks about efforts to maintain sales momentum by expanding Galaxy AI to new and existing flagship devices across the portfolio of tablets and flip phones.
“Maximize product competitiveness” will be attempted by further extending artificial intelligence from the Galaxy S24 series to older models. It is planned to do so starting from the second quarter of this year.
In the future, AI functions can serve as important attraction of new products. On the other hand, it is necessary to ask whether these new devices cannot be harmed by extending support for AI tools to older models.
The Galaxy S24 series didn’t come with any significant hardware innovations, and since many previously exclusive features have also made it to earlier flagships, for many consumers, this year’s higher class may not be so attractive. For a significantly lower price, they can buy a slightly older device, but with similar internals and relying on almost the same functions.
