According to initial information from the police, the driver of a Škoda Octavia (19 years old, taken to a hospital in Litomyšl with injuries) driving from the direction of Moravská Třebová to Litomyšl should have crossed into the opposite direction for as yet unknown reasons, where he collided on the left side with an oncoming Škoda Fabia, which after the impact, she overturned on her right side.
A total of 2 adults were traveling in the vehicle (38-year-old driver – remained at the scene of the accident after treatment, 35-year-old female passenger – transported to Svitava hospital with injuries) and 2 children who escaped without injury.

Another participant in the accident was the driver of the VW vehicle (27 years old, uninjured) driving behind the Škoda Fabia, who veered off the road while avoiding the vehicle.
“Breath tests to determine the presence of alcohol in drivers were negative. The exact causes and circumstances of the traffic accident are the subject of an investigation by the Svitava traffic police,” said police spokeswoman Andrea Muzikantová.
