Opatov accident: the BMW driver removed the transit and the Rolls Royce and ran away

“There was a traffic accident with three cars in Exhibition street. The two-member crew of one of them fled from the scene to the nearby forest, currently the police, including dog handlers, are looking for them,” police spokesman Richard Hrdina confirmed to Bleska. The accident happened on Monday around noon, the police are investigating its causes and circumstances.

How it happened was described to the Aktu.cz agency by an elderly man who was behind the wheel of the crashed transit. According to him, he was driving through the columns on his left hand in the opposite direction, when he suddenly noticed a white Bavarian rushing head-on towards him. “That was tenths of a second. I thought it couldn’t be possible. I didn’t want to destroy my right wheel on the curb, but when it was only a few meters, I took it. And it was raining, whipping and just dusting,” described the driver.

Because he had a destroyed door on his side, he climbed out, according to his words, through the passenger door. Right after that, he saw a crashed white BMW with a German license plate behind it and a Rolls-Royce still fitted inside. According to Blesk, its purchase price exceeds 6 million!

The transit driver then noticed a man who got out of the white Bavarian, who, according to initial information, probably caused the accident. He asked him if the car was driven by a German, after which the man replied that no, that it was driven by a Czech. “I ask him – and who are you? And he – well, I stopped him,” the driver described the conversation. He stated that another witness then told him that the driver of the BMW fled into the woods. “His passenger said – I’ll call the police. And before we looked back, he was in hell too, he ran away,” added the driver.
