American actress Jennifer Gray was born on March 26, 1960. Her mother was engaged in acting and dancing, her father was a recognized film and theater actor who even won an Oscar for his role in the film Cabaret in 1972. It is not surprising that coming from such a gifted family, she was also close to dancing and acting. She has been involved in ballet since she was a child.

They wanted to cast her in the film for the first time mainly because of her famous father. However, in the end it turned out that he was not suitable for the role. She finally got her first role in the romantic drama Lehkomyslní. However, she came to the attention of the audience more in 1986 in the comedy for teenagers Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

A year later came the biggest success of all. Jennifer Gray played the role of Frances “Baby” Houseman in the legendary romantic drama Dancing with the Stars, where her male counterpart was played by Patrick Swayze. Finally, she was also able to properly demonstrate her dancing skills here.

Her other feature films include Gandahar, Red Dawn, Murder on Broadway, Up, Down, Red Belt, Keith or In Your Eyes. She also appeared in Friends, playing Rachel’s former best friend named Mindy.

Jennifer Gray comes from an artistic family and her parents were very ambitious. Her mother even insisted on her appearance for so long that the actress had a nose job done for her sake. After all, both her parents also underwent this. Unfortunately, the operation didn’t turn out exactly as she imagined, and Jennifer even let herself be heard saying that she regretted it. Another operation followed, which was supposed to save everything, but the result was similar. Even though her career luck ran out and she wasn’t getting as many interesting roles anymore, she was at least lucky in love. Her partners were actors Michael J. Fox and Johnny Depp. In 2001, she married director Clark Gregg, with whom she had a daughter, Stella. Although they divorced after 20 years, they remained friends.

She did not resent the dance even for many years under the Sinful Dance. In 2010, she participated in Dancing with the Stars, the American equivalent of the Czech Star Dance. Alongside dance partner Derek Hough, she became the champion of the whole series.
