“Go to the nearest garden or local rhubarb field for rhubarb and bake a juicy and pleasantly sour cake on a baking sheet. Method

For the dough, mix all the ingredients intended for it (except butter) in a bowl and knead for about 2-3 minutes. Then add the butter and continue kneading until you get a smooth and non-sticky dough, leave it in a warm place about 2 hours to rise.

Then transfer the dough to baking paper and with floured fingers, carefully spread it to the size of the baking sheet on which you will bake. Transfer the dough and paper to a baking sheet and spread with cream cheese, which you prepare by mixing all the ingredients.

Spread the cut into pieces on the cream cheese rhubarb, which you add sugar. Sprinkle the cake thickly with the crumbs prepared from all the ingredients (knead the flour, butter, sugar and salt with your fingers). You can add 1-2 g of ground cinnamon or ground ginger to it.

Tip: Strawberries go great with rhubarb, if you have them, don’t hesitate to put them on the cake as well.

Let the cake rise for about half an hour. Bake it in a hot air oven at 200 °C for about 30 minutes, until the crumb turns golden. After removing from the oven, let the cake cool and sprinkle with sugar before serving.
