A mass traffic accident happened on Tuesday, May 7 after half past five in the afternoon on the main road from Strakonice to Prague. Five passenger vehicles crashed between the Rovná and Kbelnice turns. The road is impassable.

According to initial information, five passenger vehicles crashed on the I/4 road between the Rovná and Kbelnice na Strakonicka turn-offs. All components of the IZS are on site, a helicopter will land. The accident was not without injuries.
The road is completely closed, traffic is controlled by police officers who direct drivers to detour routes. Restrictions are expected here until around 8 p.m.
As informed by police spokesman Miroslav Šupík, the bypass route in the direction of Strakonice leads through Řepica to Radomyšl, in the direction of Drhovle to Kbelnice, Osek and Radomyšl.
A few days ago, a tragic accident involving a passenger car and a van took place on the same road just a short distance away, claiming one human life. In February, a driver crashed into a concrete culvert on the same section. He also did not survive the accident.
