A serious truck accident complicates traffic on the Prague ring road D0 near Jesenice on Tuesday. At about the second kilometer, a truck overturned and is blocking a large part of the road. The driver had to be freed by firefighters.
Firefighters, paramedics and police respond to a truck accident on D0, i.e. on the Prague Ring Road. The accident happened on Tuesday before eleven o’clock at 1.8. kilometer of the Prague ring road near Jesenice in the direction of the D5 highway.
“The vehicle is lying on its side and the driver is currently being extricated. Traffic is restricted in the area and only the parking lane is open in both directions,” informed the Police of the Czech Republic.

“The truck hit the center guardrails, which it broke through and ended up on its side, blocking both lanes of traffic“, informed the firefighters of the Central Bohemian Region. The driver’s cab was also hit by the truck, which hit a street lamp. It broke after the impact, but at the same time the driver’s compartment was demolished.
“We intervene together with our colleagues from Prague. The recovery is still ongoing at this time,” added the firemen at half past twelve.
Columns form on the Prague ring road and on bypass routes. Traffic problems are to be expected until late in the afternoon, and the removal of the overturned truck will take several hours.
