Czech celebrities mourn the death of Simona Postlerová. The popular actress was found dead in her apartment on Sunday. What is behind her sudden departure is still largely unknown. As the daily Blesk reports, there was no indication that she had health complications. She rehearsed on the stage at the weekend and even managed to wish Jiřina Bohdalová a happy birthday.
The whole of the Czech Republic was left in shock when the news of Simona Postlerová’s sudden departure appeared. She went to acting heaven at only 59 years old, and her death is still shrouded in mystery. As reported by the Blesk daily, the actress was still functioning normally over the weekend, rehearsing in the theater and calling Jiřina Bohdalová.
“She told me on Friday that she was taking the train to see her brother Lexa in Pardubice. He is playing in the theater there. On Saturday, she rehearsed the forthcoming production of Lenka Lagronova’s play Terezka at the Vinohrady Theater and also had a reading in church.” Igor Bareš, who met the actress for years on the boards of the Theater in Vinohrady, told the aforementioned newspaper.
Jiřina Bohdalová is devastated
Jiřina Bohdalová, who celebrated her 93rd birthday, is also devastated by the death of the actress. Postlerová still had time to wish Jiřina. “She wished me a happy birthday at the weekend, I feel terrible… I’m sorry, it’s terrible,” says a devastated Bohdalová, who at first could not believe the sad news at all.
The police and an ambulance went to the house where the actress lived around one o’clock on Sunday afternoon, but the artist could no longer be helped. “At the indicated address, we intervened in the natural death of a woman, it was not a death due to someone else’s fault,” said police spokesman Richard Hrdina, as we have already written.
