The proposal is mainly intended to facilitate the availability of the electoral process for Czech citizens living abroad. The rest of the correspondence voting system is now allowed by the EU’s fifth state, where MP STAN Josef Cogan.

There is no guarantee that it will be a free election, ANO chairman Andrej Babi criticized the proposal of a partisan coalition on Thursday.

According to the proposal, citizens abroad could vote by correspondence, who will be registered in the voter list at the local representative office. The proposal is to contest the presidential, parliamentary and European elections. For the first time, they could also vote abroad, then in the fifth year.

First, it is very bad for the late ANO and SPD movements and accuse the party coalition of trying to get votes abroad when they lose support in the Czech Republic. The change is inevitable, it only leads to the elections in 2025, says Radek Vondrek, the mayor of ANO, f the building-first committee.

The rules for elections from abroad will be changed compared to the coalition proposal. For example, the Constituent-First Committee supported the votes of the ptikolica, that when someone votes by correspondence and thinks about it, they will vote later in the polling station and their later personally cast vote will be counted.

The correspondence ballot could theoretically touch half a million Czech citizens living abroad. These are those who have settled abroad for a long time, but also those who went abroad for study or employment. Around 13,200 of them cast their votes in the 2021 parliamentary elections.

The Czech Republic is one of the few EU countries that does not allow postal voting from abroad. Apart from esk, you don’t have the option of sending a letter from abroad: France, Croatia and Malta. In France, however, you can vote from abroad via the Internet.
