Champion Kincl has found an ideal sparring partner who simulates Peñaz for him

Joaquin Buckley vs Nursulton Ruziboev – Ruziboev wins by KO/TKO, Disqualification or Submission 2.62

Buckley has an 8-4 record in the UFC and is the favorite in this duel. A fighter born in St. Louis, who is riding a three-fight winning streak, lands 4.06 significant strikes per minute and averages 1.40 takedowns per 15 minutes. Ruziboev is riding a ten-fight winning streak (eight in a row outside of the UFC) and is 2-0 since joining the UFC. The Uzbek fighter is a former boxer who lands 3.92 significant punches. He is also excellent on the ground and has won by submission 20 times. An interesting fact is that Ruziboev has not passed the first round since 2019.

Can Ruziboev spoil Buckley’s home game? The answer is yes. Ruziboev has enough momentum and skill to take Buckley to the ground and finish him here. Ruziboev is moving down a weight, which is an interesting move as he has struggled at this weight in the past, and given his height, it will probably be a difficult takedown, but if he can pull it off, he will have a big height advantage in the fight. Buckley adapted his training camp to that, where he invited tall wrestlers, but the question is whether any of them could simulate such a complex fighter as Ruziboev. Rather, I’m leaning towards the favorable odds here that Ruziboev will end the match.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs Robelis Despaigne – Despaigne in the first round 2.19

Waldo Cortes-Acosta is 4-1 in the UFC since 2022. His only loss came against Marcos Rogerio de Lima, but thanks to his advanced boxing skills, he was able to cruise to some important points victories rather gracefully. He will be a more experienced fighter who will welcome a newcomer to the division who is very unpredictable. Robelis Despaigne is still undefeated in his short MMA career. The former Fury FC fighter has finished all of his fights by KO/TKO in the first round. His last four fights lasted only 37 seconds!

Despaigne is already one of the biggest physical “monsters” on the UFC heavyweight roster. It is very difficult to reach his chin and for many wrestlers it is almost impossible. Despaigne pressures his opponent from the start, landing blow after blow that usually end the match quickly. The key to another victory will again be the reach of Robelis, which is an incredible 220cm. Despaigne announced an attack on the title match, which he would like to start at the beginning of next year. So Cortes-Acosta should be a mere “formality” for him.
