Whereas before, no one really cared much about the consumption of electricity in the home, now it is completely different. And in a way it’s so good, because energy savings are very welcome and we can’t do without them in general. It is likely that we will probably never look at the energy prices we were used to.
Suppliers are trying to outsmart you
The truth is, however, that the price of electricity falls relatively quickly on the energy exchanges, but domestic suppliers only reluctantly take this into account in the prices of the final product, i.e. electricity. On the contrary, they try to make an ugly shed for their clients, which can take a lot of revenge on you.
Surely you have already received some kind of price fixing offer. It usually comes after some reduction in price lists and thus appears very lucrative. But know that the supplier only offers you a job for two to three years, with the understanding that you will pay the given price during this period. But it’s already clear that another decline is coming, so you’re really making a fool of yourself.
In addition, the electricity supplier takes good care of the contractual terms and conditions so that you cannot simply escape from them. And if you do try it, you can count on the fact that they will 100% pay a fine on you, which can reach tens of thousands of crowns, as it will express the approximate loss of the supplier based on the difference between your prices and the current ones.
A common error with the appliance
Another problem of many households in the Czech Republic is inefficient work with appliances. Many believe that the refrigerator or washing machine eats the most, but this is not the case. It might surprise you, but such an average household wastes the most on smaller appliances.
Especially then on the kettle. It runs for a short time, but very intensively, which also requires a good amount of electricity. However, if you fill such a kettle with too much, it means that it will take longer to heat the water and you are literally throwing money for electricity down the drain.

Therefore, you should keep an eye on how much water you need for a given number of mugs. And if you don’t know, fill them with water and then pour it into the kettle. That way, you will get the exact amount, and you won’t waste unnecessarily.
