When the trailer for the currently most popular game Grand Theft Auto VI came out at the end of last year, it managed to collect one hundred million views in just 24 hours, making it the second fastest-watched video on the YouTube platform (the video clip of the Korean boy band BTS took first place, see link) .

As much as we thought that it had somehow beaten the bird to its position as the most watched game video, it didn’t even last half a year and the record was literally stamped into the ground. And that from an unexpected direction.

The communication application Discord uses about 150 million users every month, which is a solid number, which doesn’t even explain it, because their short April video collected over a billion views in the first day of publication. For people outside the gaming community, his point is clearly incomprehensible, he became a so-called lootbox, i.e. purely digital boxes with suitable content, for which the publisher (fixed mobile free 2 play) did not have a pension.
