The Fisker brand continues to negotiate for rescue, four car companies are said to be interested

--

The American electric car manufacturer Fisker, a start-up headed by the well-known designer Henrik Fisker, has been facing serious financial difficulties for several months that threaten its very existence.

After all, recent delisting from the New York Stock Exchange due to low stock value, missing $8.4 million in debt payments, and the hiring of restructuring experts all point to problems. However, it seems clear that the automaker will not be able to handle the serious situation on its own.

Therefore, Henrik Fisker recently met with employees to inform him about negotiations with four car companies, as reported by Business Insider. Confidentiality agreements were supposed to be signed between the car company and the four interested parties, and negotiations are now apparently underway on the conditions under which one of the car companies could join Fisker.

But the head of the Fisker brand himself indicated that the negotiations could drag on for a longer time. After all, it is in the best interest of car companies to know all the benefits and risks related to the purchase of a manufacturer of purely electric models.

Unfortunately, it is not yet clear which car companies are interested in the American electric start-up. In the past, there was talk of interest from the Nissan brand, but the Japanese company’s offer was allegedly not “enough”, according to the Carscoops website. At the same time, the negotiations should already be in an advanced stage. But Fisker obviously does not want to hand over the reins of the company to just anyone.
