In the first day alone, the platform recorded a record of more than 300 million plays. The album broke similar records on Apple Music and Amazon Music services.
At 34, Taylor Swift is arguably the biggest pop star alive today. Her new album has sold the equivalent of 2.6 million units across various media, according to analytics firm Luminate.
