101 minutes. Thriller about an accident in the Prague metro. What if it becomes an inescapable trap?

The Prague metro transports one million passengers daily. And it is rightfully considered the fastest and safest mode of transportation in the capital. Still, could circumstances come together that would make his premises a trap from which it is not easy to escape? The writer Štěpán Kopřiva plays with this idea in his exciting thriller 101 minutes.

It all starts with a major power outage, at two Prague substations, the entire city is paralyzed by a blackout, problems cannot be avoided even in the subway. Between the Karlovo náměstí and Anděl stations, a subway train with over a hundred passengers gets stuck. Two units of fire fighters go into action, and at the beginning it looks like it will be a quick and trouble-free intervention. But then a fire starts under one of the set’s cars, and one complication after another comes for the experienced rescuers. How to evacuate more than a hundred people from the tunnel without panic? And is the information that a small child is lost somewhere in the service corridor true? The intervening men suddenly have only seconds to make the right decision, and it is so easy to make a fatal mistake.

He wrote a radio play based on the exciting story of Štěpán Kopřiva screenwriter Lukáš Csicsely. He interspersed the claustrophobic radio evocation of firefighting in the metro area with the line of follow-up investigation, which is automatically conducted after every action that results in a serious injury or death. Together with the police investigator, the listener can piece together the course of events, although we will not learn the complete truth about all the minutes of the intervention.
