Newly nine-year-old Princess Charlotte celebrated her ninth birthday last week. She had them on Thursday, when her father appeared among the people. The family let him go to Aston Villa’s semi-final match in the quarter-finals of the European Conference League. But Prince William did not bring happiness to his favorite club.

The Prince of Wales was spotted by the BBC at the Villa Park stadium in Birmingham, the heir to the throne attended the European Cup semi-final match with friends. However, his smile turned sour, as Aston Villa lost 2:4 at home to Greek Olympiakos in the opening match of the doubleheader.

Prince William was at the football on the day his only daughter Charlotte celebrated her ninth birthday. With Princess Kate, who took a portrait of the birthday girl, they wished publicly through the social network X. The couple also thanked there for all the kind messages.

Charlotte was born on May 2, 2015 in London as the second child of the heir to the throne and his wife. It means that he is currently third in line to the British throne. She is predeceased by her dad as well as older siblings Prince George.
