25/12/2023, KATE WILL ATTEND LAST PUBLIC EVENTS FOR SOME TIME
Last official public appearance Kate took place in England on Christmas Day. She attended a service in the church of St. Mary Magdalene at Sandringham in Norfolk. She was photographed walking into church alongside her husband Prince William and children – prince george, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Together they matched in blue and green.

17/01/2024, KATE UNDERGOING SURGERY
Kensington Palace announces that Kate has been admitted to a London clinic for abdominal surgery. Officials provided few details about her health. They said the operation was successful and her condition was “not cancerous”. A few hours later, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III will be treated with an enlarged prostate.
1/18/2024, WILLIAM VISITS KATE AT THE LONDON CLINIC
The next day, William was photographed leaving the hospital where Kate was recovering from abdominal surgery.

29/01/2024, KATE IS DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL
Almost two weeks later, Kate returned home to Windsor. Kensington Palace officials said she will recuperate at home for two to three months and will not return to her public duties until after Easter in late March. Unlike King Charles III, who was photographed leaving a London clinic after his procedure, Kate was not photographed leaving the hospital.
2/3/2024, KARL III. CANCER IS DIAGNOSED
Buckingham Palace officials announced in early February, just days after Charles underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate, that the king had been diagnosed with cancer. The palace did not say what form of cancer he had, but an authorized official said it was not prostate cancer.

03/04/2024 KATE SPOTTED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN WEEKS
The public’s desire for information on Kate’s whereabouts and recovery peaked in the first week of March. At the time, TMZ released a grainy paparazzi shot of Kate riding in a car driven by her mother. It was the first time she had been seen since her hospitalization. Despite the image circulating on the Internet, British newspapers and television stations did not publish it, citing the princess’ request for privacy during her recovery, although they did report the sighting.
10/03/2024 KATE AND HER KIDS APPEAR IN MOTHER’S DAY PHOTO
To mark Mother’s Day, Kensington Palace released an official photo of a smiling Kate surrounded by her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis. The palace has not released many details about the picture, other than that it was taken by William in Windsor, where the family lives at Adelaide Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle. While the image was meant to highlight a happy family on vacation and quell rumours, it came under intense scrutiny after The Associated Press and several other photo agencies asked their clients to remove it from all platforms over concerns it had been doctored.

11/03/2024, KATE APOLOGIES FOR ALTERED FAMILY PHOTO
The princess took the blame and apologized for the Mother’s Day “photo fiasco”. “Like many amateur photographers, I’m experimenting with editing,” she said, adding: “I wanted to apologize for any confusion caused by the family photo we shared yesterday.” Kate is known as a photo enthusiast and the palace often gives away her family photos. Palace officials stressed that Kate had made minor adjustments to what was supposed to be an informal family photo.
11 and 18 March 2024, KATE IN SEARCH OF THE PAPARAZZI
Hours after Kate apologized for editing the photo, she was photographed alongside William leaving Windsor Castle. The grainy photo, which has been widely shared online, shows Kate looking out of a window away from the camera. A week later, the couple was spotted again. This time in an unverified video of her walking outside a grocery store near their home in Windsor.
A video captured by an onlooker showed the couple carrying bags and wearing comfortable dark clothes.

22/03/2024, KATE REVEALS HER DIAGNOSIS
In a recorded video broadcast by the BBC, Kate said she had been diagnosed with cancer and had started chemotherapy. She described the last two months as “incredibly difficult for her whole family”. Like the king, the 42-year-old princess did not specify the type of cancer, but asked the public and the media to respect her desire for privacy, commenting on her illness as a “huge shock”. She asked for space and privacy while she completes her treatment”. She said she and William needed time to explain everything to their children and “reassure them it’s going to be OK”.
31 March 2024, THE KING WILL ATTEND EASTER SERVICES
Kate and William don’t. More than a week after Kate announced she had been diagnosed with cancer, she and her family did not attend the Easter service at Windsor Castle. Charles III however, he appeared in public for the first time since announcing that he had cancer. He was photographed from the side of Queen Camillaas he greets his supporters.

30/04/2024 WILLIAM REVEALS KATE IS DOING FINE
During an appearance at the grand opening of James’ Place in Newcastle on April 30, a member of the crowd asked Prince William how Kate and their three children were doing. In response, William assured the public that everyone was doing well. “Everything is going well, thank you,” he replied, according to a video shared by the Daily Mail. “We’re all fine. This is the first “update” on Princess Kate’s health since March.
