Wanda was at the casino on Wednesday – and what would you say? Of course she lost! Therefore, on Thursday morning, she will be quite nervous, even grumpy towards Luďek, whom she will unpleasantly surprise. You know, Ludí is already looking forward to his grand celebration in the pub on the occasion of work success. The funniest thing is that he invites Vanda to get something to wear for such a festive moment and make herself happy. He sent extra money to her account to help her buy a nice piece of jewelry, for example. After all, his wife has to represent.
Unfortunately, it was precisely the money that the unteachable Vanda had left in the gambling room. He doesn’t know what to do, because seriously he longs for a new coat. He goes to his friend Hana and humbly asks her if she would lend him money to buy it. Of course, he will pay her back as soon as he can. He puts it in such a way that Luděk must not know about anything, otherwise he would ask unnecessarily. Hana doesn’t like the procedure, not because she doesn’t mind Vanda keeping something from her husband. She is more upset by the fact that Vanda is afraid to do what she wants. She shouldn’t jump as Mr. Volák whistles.
Wanda manages to win more than she loses
Later, when Luďk’s celebration is already in full swing and takes place in an unexpectedly modest grouping, since only Blanka and Evžen arrive besides him, the disobedient wife goes to the casino again, to try to get back what she lost before. Surprisingly, this time he will wish her luck and wins three times the original loss, but lingers too long in the game room.
Luděk, Blanka and Evžen start looking for her and Wanda can think of nothing better than to lie, that he is at Hana’s. A friend got so sick that she had to look after her and take care of her. That’s why she didn’t manage to arrive on time. However, she is quite upset when Luděk offers to drive to Hana’s for her. He would probably be very surprised if he didn’t find his wife there.
Just before leaving the casino Vanda informs the croupier that she will definitely not come again. He knows well that luck can be fickle. But the croupier then exchanges a significant look with the bartender. He probably knows it won’t be true.
Lumir catches Vilma and Vilda in their pyjamas
On Thursday, Vilda will come to visit Vilma, grateful that Mrs. Nyklová will let him spend the night with her. However, she thought about it a little differently, to make sure that Burd wouldn’t think of using the situation to get too close… She puts him up at her place, but she herself intends to put him up at Lumir’swhere they have dinner together first.
Vilma will prepare a three-course menu: hearty soup, Moravian sparrow with cabbage and gingerbread for dessert. Handyman Vilda gets busy and fixes a number of broken things in the apartment, e.g. a dripping shower, a non-functioning light in the oven, etc. This makes the poor guy so tired that he is forced to cut short the fun and go to bed early. In the middle of the night, however, Lumir unexpectedly returns with Lexik.
